Hi my name is Tolu Solola and I am a fashonista, agent and coach for aspiring models, photographers and designers. As the founder and creator of Badd Models Inc., I am here to inspire and open the doors to anyone interested with obtaining a career in the fashion industry. I came up with Badd Models Inc. because as an aspiring model, I know first-hand, how hard it is to break into the industry. With the many obstacles that stand in the way, I want to be there to pave an easier path, for talent. The goal for Badd Models Inc. is to house the best models, photographers and designers, Chicago has to offer. I am well-aware that Chicago is not known for runway and I hope in a few years we can take badd models and make a name for ourselves, putting Chicago on the fashion map right next to Paris, New York, Milan and Tokyo. I try to do other things behind the scenes of fashion; I design clothes, do make-up and model on the runway and in print.
I am all about the arts and I want to show the artistic side of this industry. I feel as though fashion has become too much about the business and less about art. I want my models, photographers, designers, make-up artists and hair stylists to push past society’s norms and create something that will spark other artists’ interests. Just as we can listen to a piece of music and get inspired I want badd models to represent inspiration. I want people to look at a piece created by a member of badd models and become moved. We are the muses the Greek gods and goddesses once spoke so fondly of, blessing us with our beauty, style grace and swag.
